    I got a few donuts for my coworkers and they were a hit. I had the matcha donut and it was absolutely delicious, my coworkers loved the Ube. Love that this spot is consistently fresh with a lot of options. Also appreciate the ability to use credit cards!

    If you want coffee that will make you feel like you are just steps away from cardiac arrest... then this place is for you. Possibly the strongest coffee I've ever had. Some people are into that (I'm not) so if that's you... I totally recommend this place. But this place really isn't about their coffee. As their name suggests, they're a donut shop and an amazing one at that. All the donuts I've had were delicious but my absolute favorite is the Maple Bacon. There's a small sitting area which is great for hanging out while your laundry runs next door.

    You know, there's just something about a non-trendy, family-run, no-frills donut shop. I can't decide between Golden Donut or Donut Star (Hillcrest), but I'd take either of these over the "new" donut places popping up all over SD (and North Park). I'm a particular fan of the chocolate twist, but have also really enjoyed the apple fritter, bear claw, and original glaze. Service is always friendly. I wish they had a blue berry cake donut (my husbands favorite) but I'll give them a pass on that. Highly recommend checking this place out- even without any of the marketing the other nearby places focus on!

    These have to be the best donuts I've ever eaten. I had to drop a fedex off at a mailing center that was right next door & decided to treat myself to a few donuts because they smelled so good. I'm so glad I stopped-they were absolutely delicious. The texture & frosting were spot on. Highly recommend & will definitely return.
